ABOUT THE ROLE
The Events Manager will be responsible for effectively and profitably managing and directing all day-to-day aspects of the Event Merchandising Operations, both inside and outside the Bernabeu stadium, including basketball games, concerts and other events.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Develops a service led work environment, ensuring offers and initiatives are implemented delivering growth, profitability & continuous improvement.
Day-to-day participation in, and active contribution to the Operational function, annual plans, budgets, and activities.
Full end-to-end responsibility for the P&L, from planning and budgeting through to execution and final results.
Instils a culture of achievement, results, and continuous improvement.
Instigates and implements the best Operational practice at site level.
Co-ordinate’s site Operational activities as required.
Implement clear SOP and SLA manuals throughout the Event Retail & Merchandising operation and regulatory audit compliance with clear reporting.
Plan for optimal delivery of a world class match day and non-matchday experience/customer experience and ensure that the club surpasses customer expectations in line with agreed budgets.
Actively manages operations to deliver against the budget and monthly forecast.
Supports the team to deliver against the departmental annual business plan.
Meets and achieves challenging Operational targets at every event.
Builds internal and external relationships to enable delivery of service offer.
Builds external relationships to attract talent to the company.
Assists in assessing market trends to identify new commercial opportunities developing business cases and realise benefits.
To ensure that all members of staff are trained to a level which enables them to carry out their duties according to departmental standards.
Conducts regular performance reviews with the team, ensuring appropriate training and development is provided.
Ensures operational activities meet administrative requirements in respect of health & safety, legal stipulations, environmental policies, and duty of care as well as company best practices.
Identifies and develop successors in Operational roles.

QUALIFICATIONS
To perform this job successfully, the candidate must be able to perform each essential duty above at the highest levels. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
Education Requirement:
Relevant qualifications or equivalent experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Essential Experience:
You will have a minimum of 5 years' Management experience in a fast paced, high-volume Retail/Events environment such as Hotels, Sports Stadiums, Arenas, or Convention Centre Venues.
Experienced in coaching team members through processes and leading where necessary.
Ability to manage and communicate clearly and effectively with the team.
Can work in a fast-moving environment.
Maintaining a customer focused approach to the management of all external relationships.
Management of time, working to tight deadlines to ensure priorities are met.
