ABOUT THE ROLE
The Logistics Assistant provides administrative and operational support to the logistics team, helping to coordinate shipments, manage inventory records, monitor deliveries, and maintain accurate documentation. The role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate effectively with suppliers, transport providers, and internal teams.

Key Performance Indicators:

• Shipment accuracy and on-time delivery rates.

• Inventory accuracy.

• Documentation accuracy and compliance.

• Reduction of logistics errors and delays.

• Efficient resolution of operational issues.

• Cost-control and process-improvement contributions.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assist in coordinating inbound and outbound shipments.

• Monitor delivery schedules and track shipments to ensure timely arrival.

• Maintain accurate logistics, inventory, and transportation records.

• Prepare and process shipping documents, purchase orders, and delivery notes.

• Liaise with suppliers, carriers, warehouses, and internal departments.

• Support stock control activities, including inventory counts and reconciliation.

• Investigate and report delivery discrepancies, shortages, or damaged goods.

• Update logistics systems and databases with relevant information.

• Assist with forecasting, planning, and inventory management activities.

• Ensure compliance with company policies, health and safety requirements, and relevant regulations.

• Support continuous improvement initiatives to increase operational efficiency.

SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES

• Strong organizational and time-management skills.

• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.

• Good communication and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.

• Problem-solving and analytical skills.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.

• Experience using ERP, inventory, or logistics management systems is advantageous.

QUALIFICATIONS and EXPERIENCE

• Previous experience in logistics, supply chain, warehouse administration, or a similar role is desirable.

• Relevant qualifications in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field is an advantage.

• Knowledge of inventory control and transportation processes is beneficial.
