Olympia is undergoing a period of change. In 2017, the venue was bought by a consortium led by Yoo Capital and Deutsche Finance international. Job Purpose:
To provide excellent service to Olympia London clients, guests and stakeholders by installing and servicing all connectivity and technology service requirements purchased from Event IT.
When required to provide overflow support the corporate users via the IT Help Desk. Handling all incidents and tickets submitted and requested such as desktop support, IT connectivity, telephony, profile, password and file access issues.
Key Responsibilities
Mark up show and event plans
Produce Labels
Show and event cabling; install cabling including termination, jumpering & testing.
Provide equipment as ordered.
Distribution of Port information
Event Support
Provide support for telephone services throughout the tenancy period.
Provide data connectivity assistance and first line support throughout tenancy period.
Recording, communicating, and escalating all appropriate tickets.
Post Event
Recover equipment after event
Remove all voice and data cabling from exhibition floors and Organisers offices.
Remove all jumpering
Collect any equipment as required.
General
Provide assistance to colleagues and management where necessary.
Ensure that all work areas/offices are always kept in order.
Ensure that all Health & Safety regulations are followed.
Ensure that all equipment used comply with the Company’s Health and Safety standards.
Key deliverables
Ensure that all Event Management, Organiser Exhibitor’s and Guest requests are met in line with company procedures.
Effectively and efficiently allocate the appropriate resource to the event calendar and any other scheduled activities. Answer IT technical support calls and log them as incidents with the service desk.
If required to, provide additional desktop support – pc/laptop builds, printers, ad hoc software installs, patching network cables etc. To provide both remote and on-site support of the above.
Create and administer user accounts in Active Directory
Make telephone configuration changes. Install/Fix of internal telephones.
To assist in office moves of IT equipment.
To create purchase orders and help with orders of IT equipment.
Skills & Experience
Ideally you will have at least 2 years’ experience in a similar role.
Cabling and terminating
Patching
Cisco Networking, CCNA (desirable)

The following contract is applicable to this role
You will work an average of 42.5 hours per week in accordance with an agreed shift pattern. You will be expected to work two weekends per month and will not be paid overtime. You will instead receive a day for day off in lieu per month although this is not guaranteed and depends on the needs of the business.
You may also be expected to work over and above the working pattern outlined above, for example additional weekends and hours during the week. In these cases, you will be given additional time off depending again on the business needs.
