The Role
As a Matchday Restaurant Manager, you will lead the delivery of premium hospitality experiences within one of the Coventry Building Society Arena's restaurants. Responsible for overseeing restaurant operations during matchdays and events, you'll ensure exceptional guest service, high operational standards and a seamless dining experience from arrival through to departure.
Working closely with the wider Hospitality and Food & Beverage teams, you'll motivate and support your team, drive service excellence and ensure all food safety, licensing and company standards are consistently achieved in a fast-paced, high-profile event environment.
The Responsibilities
Lead and oversee the day-to-day operation of a hospitality restaurant during matchdays and events, ensuring a seamless and efficient service.
Deliver exceptional guest experiences by maintaining the highest standards of customer service, presentation and hospitality throughout the event.
Recruit, brief, train, motivate and support team members, creating a positive working environment and ensuring service standards are consistently achieved.
Manage restaurant performance during service, including floor operations, guest enquiries, complaints resolution, staffing levels and coordination with kitchen and bar teams.
Ensure compliance with all company policies, licensing requirements, food safety regulations and health & safety procedures.
Support the effective management of stock, cash handling, EPOS systems and operational administration, reporting any issues promptly.
Work collaboratively with the wider Hospitality and Food & Beverage teams to deliver premium dining experiences and continuous operational improvements.
What we're looking for
Previous experience managing or supervising within a busy restaurant, hospitality, events or premium service environment.
Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire, develop and manage teams in a fast-paced setting.
Excellent customer service, communication and relationship-building skills, with a passion for creating memorable guest experiences.
Strong organisational, problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with the confidence to remain calm under pressure.
Experience using EPOS systems and an understanding of stock control, cash handling and day-to-day operational processes.
Good knowledge of food safety, health & safety and licensing requirements within a hospitality environment.
A flexible and proactive approach, with availability to work evenings, weekends and event days, including football matches, concerts and other major events at Coventry Building Society Arena.
